The UA in France summer program begins with a week-long excursion in Paris and Versailles, visiting major historical and cultural sites and attending performances, followed by four weeks of concentrated study at the Institut de Touraine in Tours, while living with a French family, in your own private room.

While in Tours, you will get the opportunity to take a day trip to seaside locations at the Mont Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo and visit the famous Renaissance châteaux in the Loire Valley.

UA in Benin

The UA in Benin summer II program begins with a week-long excursion in Ganvié, Toffo, Alada, Abomey, Ouidah & Porto Novo (historical cities of Benin Republic) visiting major historical, slavery and cultural sites, followed by three weeks of concentrated study at the University of Abomey-Calavi. Hotel accommodations will be of high standards in terms of comfort and security and located in Benin’s economic capital, Cotonou. In every location, participants will be immersed in local culture and learn about former slaves, traditional Kingdoms, religion, and culinary art resulting in an optimal learning experience.

The proposed program is at this point unique in its kind. It is set up as a response for the need for diversity in study abroad experiences.
