Bio

Ibrahim Khalaylih is an Arab American born in Jordan and went to the University of Jordan in Amman, where he completed his Undergraduate degree and master’s degree in Geography. After moving to the USA, Ibrahim worked as an Arabic Language and Modern Arab Cultures instructor at Drake University in Iowa, where he is also currently finishing his Ph.D. in education. In May of 2023, Ibrahim earned a master’s degree in Arabic studies, Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL) at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Starting in the fall of 2023, Ibrahim is a full-time Arabic language instructor at the University of Alabama. He is interested in connecting people and cultures through language learning. He strives to promote social justice and inclusion for misunderstood, mistreated, and oppressed people.
