Spanish PhD student Alejandro Botia makes consecutive weekend conference appearances

On March 29th, Alejandro attended the 25th edition of Céfiro, at Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, TX, where he presented the paper “Bolivia Construcciones: la alterización y aislamiento del inmigrante indígena en Argentina.” He then attended the 71st Annual Meeting of the Southeastern Council of Latin American Studies (SECOLAS) in Ashville, NC, which was held from April 3rd to 6th. The title of this presentation was “La distopia española desde el no-lugar del sin-papeles latinoamericano.” You can find the program for each of these conferences below (Alejandro appears in the 3:00 session of Céfiro, and in entry No.44 of SECOLAS).
