Dr. Jessica Goethals has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities long-term fellowship from the Newberry Library in Chicago. During her nine-month stay (September-May) at the Newberry, which houses an important collection of Italian rare books and manuscripts and the Center for Renaissance Studies, Dr. Goethals will be writing her next book, The Literary Sack of Rome: Anticipation to Aftermath.
