The Catherine Evans Davies Scholarship shall be awarded to sophomore, junior or senior level first-generation female students who are enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and have graduated from a public high school in the state of Alabama and are studying linguistics. This is an endowment scholarship named for Dr. Catherine Davies, Professor Emerita of Linguistics in the UA Department of English.
