Caleb H. Kelley, a PhD candidate in Spanish linguistics, presented a talk entitled “Analyzing the phonetic performance of male sexuality in Sevillian Spanish through remote data collection” at the 51st New Ways of Analyzing Variation (NWAV) conference on October 14. NWAV is a premier and highly respected conference in the field of sociolinguistic variation. It was hosted this year by Queens College and the Research Institute for the Study of Language in Urban Society (RISLUS). The theme of this year’s conference was “Variation in the world’s languages.”
