Charlas con Café is a weekly Spanish conversation hour in Starbucks in the Ferguson Center. We get together with club members, and sometimes native speakers to practice our Spanish in a relaxed environment. All levels of Spanish are welcome.
These Tuesday night classes are ESL classes for adults at Holy Spirit Catholic High School. We are looking to teach functional and useful English to adults so they can get through day-to-day events without struggle. All levels of English are welcome.
The Saturday morning class is ESL for children as well as homework help for these kids held at the Tuscaloosa Public Library. We aim to help them with what they need when it comes to English by reading, vocabulary and grammar. All levels of English are welcome.
The Pulsera Project is raising money for Central American communities to build themselves up. They create jobs and schools using the money raised by their hand-made bracelets.
Our monthly meetings will be cultural presentations. We are going to have students or professors from Spanish-speaking countries come in and speak about their country. We will also have someone from the Career Center and the Study Abroad office come in to speak.
Spanish Club Officers will be helping the Beyond Bama volunteers at the Center for Service and Leadership prepare for their trip to Nicaragua by giving them a Spanish lesson
Join us for a PIE Workshop, where the experts at UA Crossroads will help us learn how diversity and inclusivity effect our everyday lives! Of course, food will be provided
Help us close out the semester with food, games, and fun for our last meeting!
