M.A. (a short note from your advisor that you declared a German major)

5. ____ Application letter with information
explaining your current knowledge of German, your financial situation, and
your career goals. Please include also any information on German related awards,
study abroad experiences, and any German related activites if applicable.
Please explain further how this scholarship would help you with your study
of German and your future career goals (recommended length of letter is 1-2
pages).
You may submit the completed application to directly to Dr. Lazda or pass it on to any faculty member of the German program in the Dept. of Modern Languages and Classics, Box 870246, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0246.

IF selected, the stipend will be transferred to your student account, once we have received a formal letter from you expressing the acceptance of the scholarship and your gratitude by explaining in more detail how the scholarship will support
you with your further study of German and reaching your career goals in general. Your letter is important to secure further funding of these scholarships.
