The UA Italian Club is a student organization that promotes Italian culture on campus. Every semester, the club presents a rich calendar of activities and events, which serve as networking opportunities and provide extra-credit for Italian classes. Staples in the club’s calendar include pizza night, bocce on the quad, movie nights, and cooking tutorials.

In addition to these social events, the Italian program faculty also hosts four to five “Caffè e Conversazione” sessions every semester. These are great occasions to practice Italian outside of the classroom, drink authentic Italian coffee made with a moka in the BB Comer kitchen, and snack on cookies.

Membership

Membership is free for any UA student. If you would like to be added to the Italian Club’s listserv and find out about upcoming events, email the faculty advisor, Dr. Fabio Battista, at fbattista@ua.edu. If you are also interested in being inducted into the Gamma Kappa Alpha National Italian Honor Society, click here.
