Welcome

On behalf of the German program at The University of Alabama, we are pleased to invite you to the 26th Annual German Day Competition which will be held virtually. To further facilitate your participation in German Day, please read through the following information.

We hope you along with your students will enjoy your visit!

Registration and Deadlines

Please reply to the pre-registration email by April 2oth or earlier. We will need exact names for the synchronous event so that we can plan our time accordingly. Please indicate name, grade and level of German for each student.

Please enter your registration information in the Pre-Registration Form and email it to rlemmond@ua.edu.

Visual Events Deadline

Please note that we must receive all visual events by Friday, April 22, 2022, 200 BB Comer Hall. The office closes at 4:45 pm so make arrangements to deliver your items prior to that time.  You may also send your submissions to Raegan Lemmond (rlemmond@ua.edu) via Dropbox or GoogleDrive.  Please make sure your items are labeled clearly and correctly.  The judging of the visual entries takes place on Saturday, April 23, and we have no way to accept late entries.

Schedule

Due to the virtual nature of the events, the schedule will vary. The visual and recorded events need to be submitted before Friday, April 22nd. The synchronous event will take place the week of April 25th.

Fairness

In the interest of fairness, we ask you to respect the competition rules. Deviation from the guidelines is grounds for disqualification. Repetition of performances from year to year is not acceptable.
