Students who choose to minor in Italian will be interested in learning the language and literature of Italy, but also in gaining an interdisciplinary knowledge of the Italian culture which allows them to view the country, its language, and its people in a global context.
In order to graduate with an Italian minor, students need to successfully complete 20 semester hours with a minimum of 6 hours of 300 and 400-level courses earned on this campus. A 2.0 grade point average in the minor is required for completion of the degree.
Declare a Minor in Italian
Students are expected to formally declare a minor before or during the third year of full-time enrollment. To declare a minor in Italian, students complete the change of Minor Application online under the Student tab of myBama.
